  4. Some important Info
  5. -------------------

  7.    1.  Existing users of MpModem will have to convert their current
  8.        MpModem.Cfg file (the configuration file) using the "cfg-conv"
  9.        program. This will add default values to the MpModem.Cfg file.
  10.        You should then run MPConfig.Exe and change and check the
  11.        default values. See MPMODEM.DOC for more details.

  14.    2.  You can set the environment variable MPMODEM to execute MPModem
  15.        in a different path to that where its configuration and other
  16.        data files reside.

  18.        Eg.    SET MPMODEM=X:\MPMODEM\DATA

  20.        So now you can run MPModem from ANY directory and not have to
  21.        have the configuration file in each directory. This is very
  22.        handy if you run MPModem off a BBS and want to use only one
  23.        configuration setup for multi-line BBS.

  26.    3.  To break out of the program/abort a transfer, press <CTRL><BREAK>.
  27.        This is the standard way of "crashing" out of a program and is
  28.        far better than using other key combinations that could be
  29.        accidently pressed or used by TSRs etc.

  31.        NOTE: It doesn't crash the program - it will exit quite
  32.        gracefully in fact.
